Leveraging the popularity of its Ultimate 2575 Fluid Head “C” fluid camera stabilizing head, OConnor has announced the next generation “D” model, with improved ergonomic changes to controls and more pan bar mounting points. The 2575D also retains the counterbalance specifications and other characteristics of its predecessor, and all current 2575C accessories can be used on the 2575D.
Camera operators will find that the relocation of all controls on the platform to the operator's side (left) provide easier adjustment. The 2575D’s one-touch platform release lever allows for one finger or hand action to undo the safety catch and open the lever, which speeds deployment and location changes in the field.
The upgraded fluid head now features dual platform scales, one on each side, and four handle rosettes to allow operation from either side of the head as well as front or back handle mounting. The 2575D weighs 22.9 lbs., and is capable of carrying a 0-87 lbs. payload. It features OConnor’s stepless, ultra-smooth pan & tilt fluid drag, specifically designed to deliver the ultimate control and stability necessary for film style shooting. In addition, the company’s (patented) sinusoidal counterbalance system provides true, accurate balance at any point in the tilt range.
